About the Creator

Matthew DeWinkeleer, with an education in film, accounting, and business, might seem like an odd candidate for the creator of Titanic deck plans. His interest in Titanic started at age seven and never halted — fueled by the fascinating tale that grasps the imagination of millions. Reaching high school, he took classes preparing for architecture college, particularly drafting and design classes. The lessons taught him the basics of AutoCAD and 3D modeling, and both would prove valuable in his future Titanic endeavors.

In college he began modeling Titanic in 3D. While mainly a side hobby fueled by his continuing love of the ship, he strived to perfect his work with every evolution. His goal was to recreate Titanic and walk her decks once more.

After graduating with two degrees in film and business, Matthew finally started a Titanic project with genuine zeal. Coming together officially with numerous other enthusiasts and researchers, Titanic: Honor and Glory was born. The ambitious project is still a struggle and ongoing.

Matthew's continued hunger for knowledge and resolve to turn information into something tangible led to another pursuit — reproduction deck plans. Something required to aid Titanic: Honor and Glory's team and all other
Titanic researchers and historians.
